1. General Shipping Policy
Smooth Flowmeters is committed to ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of all products. Every shipment is carefully inspected, packed, and dispatched in accordance with industry standards to minimize the risk of damage during transportation.
2. Order Processing
Orders are processed only after receipt of the confirmed Purchase Order (PO), technical approval (where applicable), and agreed payment terms. Customized or engineered products may require additional manufacturing time.
3. Delivery Schedule
Estimated delivery schedules are provided at the time of quotation or order confirmation. Delivery timelines may vary depending on product availability, production schedules, raw material availability, customer approvals, and logistics conditions.
4. Shipping Methods
Products are dispatched through reliable domestic and international logistics partners based on the customer's location and shipping requirements. The mode of transport may include:
- Road Transport
- Air Freight
- Sea Freight
- Express Courier Services
The shipping method will be selected based on product size, urgency, destination, and customer preference.
5. Packaging
All products are packed using appropriate industrial packaging materials to ensure safe transportation. Packaging may include:
- Corrugated boxes
- Wooden crates (where applicable)
- Bubble wrapping
- Foam protection
- Moisture protection
- Export-worthy packing (for international shipments)
Special packaging requirements requested by customers may incur additional charges.
6. Shipping Charges
Unless otherwise specified in the quotation or purchase order, freight charges and insurance charges are extra (unless specifically included). Loading, unloading, octroi, or local taxes (if applicable) shall be borne by the customer.
7. Risk During Transportation
The responsibility for the goods transfers in accordance with the agreed commercial terms. Customers are advised to inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery. Any visible transit damage, shortage, or missing packages should be reported to both the transporter and Smooth Flowmeters within 48 hours of receipt.
8. International Shipments
For export orders, customers are responsible for complying with the import regulations of their respective countries. Smooth Flowmeters will provide applicable export documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin (where applicable), Calibration Certificate (if ordered), and other documents as agreed. Any customs duties, import taxes, or destination country charges shall be the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
9. Delivery Delays
While Smooth Flowmeters makes every effort to dispatch products within the committed schedule, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including raw material shortages, production constraints, transportation disruptions, customs clearance delays, government regulations, natural disasters, or other force majeure events. Such delays shall not constitute grounds for order cancellation or compensation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Tracking Information
Where applicable, shipment tracking details, courier information, and transport documents will be shared with the customer after dispatch to enable shipment monitoring.
11. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing the correct shipping address, ensuring authorized personnel are available to receive the shipment, inspecting products immediately upon delivery, and reporting any discrepancies, shortages, or damage within the specified period.
